Quality Inspector / Santa Ana, CA

The quality inspector, reporting to the production manager, will be responsible for incoming, in-process, and final inspection of parts produced at IJ Research.

  • Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills


  • Inspect parts per drawings and requirements to ensure conformity
  • Generate non-conforming reports when parts do not meet drawings
  • Use inspection tools (helium leak, calipers, optical comparators, etc.)
  • Ability to read and understand drawings
  • Carry out daily and weekly tasks
  • Help to troubleshoot and source experts when needed
  • Maintain safe and clean working area
  • Participate in required company training
  • Working in semi-clean room environment. Detailed inspection of small, precision metallic and ceramic components for use in medical, defense, and industrial applications

Work is normally performed on site at IJ RESEARCH’s office in Santa Ana, CA, but will require travel both domestic and international. Office work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment.  Proper safety equipment is provided by IJ RESEARCH when/where necessary. Remote work is applicable to the position, but not 100% of the time.
Office work involves standing and walking for brief periods, but most work is from a seated position. Travel work involves driving, flying, and walking with luggage. There is potential for eyestrain from reading detailed materials & computer screen. Deadlines, workloads during peak periods, travel and changing priorities may cause increased stress levels.
